IT'S THE OTHER WAY AROUND THIS TIME
“It’s tempting to play the Retreat From
GWOT for laughs, but I can't help
remembering an exchange between
President Kennedy and Gen. Curtis
LeMay during the Cuban missile crisis,
as the United States and the Soviet Union
came as close as they ever came to nuclear war.
The general said, "You're in a pretty bad
fix, Mr. President." The president shot back,
"You're in there with me."
