Baghdad Mayor Deposed in Coup

"BAGHDAD, Iraq, Aug. 9 - Armed men entered Baghdad's
municipal building during a blinding dust storm on
Monday, deposed the city's mayor and installed a
member of Iraq's most powerful Shiite militia."

You read that right. Armed men deposed the Mayor
of Baghdad in a violent coup this week. What’s
interesting is that they claim they have to right to
do it, because they won elections in January.

I don’t know what’s going on. But it does seem like
Iraq is sliding into civil war.
